Dr. Vaibhav Meshram received the B.Tech. Degree (Bachelor of
Technology) in Electronics and Communication from the
prestigious National Inst. of Tech. Kurukshetra (NITKKR),
formerly known as the Regional Engg. College Haryana in the year
1992, M.Tech. degree in Microelectronics from the prestigious
IIT Bombay in the year 1999 and a PhD in Nano Electronics from
the prestigious BITS Pilani in the year 2012 respectively in 22 nm
technology. He has an overall 20 years of Teaching experience in
various Engg. Colleges in Mumbai & Bangalore and 13 years of
Industrial experience in analysis, design, development, and
technical support with a focus on FPGA SoC, ASIC and Board-
Level Design, Hardware Design Operations, Hardware Design Methodologies, Tools, Flow
and Processes. While working in the industry, he has executed projects worth lakhs of
rupees. He was a Research Engineer with Central Research Laboratory Bharat Electronics
Limited, Bangalore in the VLSI CAD Section. Later, worked as Sr. VLSI Design Engineer
at Philips Semiconductor, Bangalore. Next, he was the Project Manager at Zilog India
Electronics Pvt Ltd. Providing Development and Support on Zilog Microcontroller, again in
Bangalore. Then, he started working as a Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard providing
Development and Support for HP -PRINTER ASIC technology in Bangalore. Further, he
worked as a Technical Manager in “Hardware practices” at Mind Tree Consulting Ltd,
Bangalore.
A total of NINE Students completed PhD under his supervision.
He published 30+ research papers in Scopus, Web of Science, and Springer and 5+
patents have been granted.
He delivered 60 + Plus Invited talks on Nanoelectronics.
He is a BOS and BOE member at several Colleges and Universities
He is at present working as a Principal at Yenepoya University( NIRF Ranking 85)
Bangalore Campus.
He worked as a Professor and Associate Dean at Dayananda Sagar University Bangalore,
Karnataka, India. Worked as Professor and HOD in ECE Dept. holding the additional
portfolio of PhD Coordinator & Research in Jain University Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
He has worked in the levels of Lecturer, Asst. Prof., Prof., Prof. & Head, in the various institutions
where he has worked so far. He is a life member of the ISTE. He has given several guest
lectures/expert talks and seminars in many institutions across the country and participated in more
than 4 dozen CEP / DEP courses, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, besides conducting a few
courses in the institutions where he worked. He was also instrumental in getting Research centres
along with M.Tech. programs& new UG programmes in the colleges where he has worked so far. He
has brought several grants-in-aid for the conduction of various events like workshops, conferences,
seminars, projects, etc, wherever he has worked from different sources. He has visited more than 1
dozen countries for industry-institute interaction & company visits. He has also guided more than 50
+ projects (B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech.) in various engineering colleges where he has worked. He
has also reviewed many research papers for various national & international journals & conferences in
India & abroad. He has given many keynote / invited talks / plenary lecturers in various national &
international conferences and chaired many sessions, was the judge & was the chief guest on various
occasions. He has also conducted/organized/convened/coordinated more than half a dozen
courses/workshops / STTP / FDPs / Technical paper fests, Student level competitions & Symposiums,
etc., in various engineering colleges where he worked so far. He received the prestigious Infosys
Science Foundation Top-10 nomination category Engineering and Computer Science -2009
“Television and Setop box Merger”. He developed around 200 programs in C / C++ and for the
microcontroller, VLSI & VHDL and laboratory manuals for the lab, covering all its aspects of
programming, etc…. His domain knowledge includes Reconfigurable designs (FPGAs), ASIC design,
Logic Synthesis Algorithms, Reuse Technology (IP Cores), IP Validation, DSP Based Embedded
Systems Design (H/W and S/W), USB (Universal Serial Bus) protocols and Interface, Product
Conceptualization and Realization with system Design, Microcontroller, VHDL-Verilog, SEI-CMM
Level5 GREEN BELT. He got the employee recognition award at Philips Semiconductors (Sept 3,
2001) & the Best Technical Support Team awards in Q1 and Q2’06 at Hewlett-Packard, when he was
working in the industry. His special areas of interest are DSP, IP, Signals & systems, VLSI,
Advanced VLSI, CAD for VLSI, VHDL, CMOS, Semiconductor device physics, MATLAB, etc.
